On August 16, 2025, 25-year-old Gavin McPherson, a Whiteville High School graduate and North Carolina State University alumnus, suffered a tragic fall that shattered his T-12 vertebra, leaving him paraplegic at this time. He underwent emergency spinal fusion surgery (T10-L3) and will soon begin intensive rehab at Shepherd Center in Atlanta. Gavin is a devoted husband to Alexis and loving dad to their 10-month-old son, Maverick. As the sole financial provider for his young family, this sudden accident has left them facing overwhelming medical bills and living expenses as Gavin fights to recover. Your support will help cover medical costs, travel for rehab, and daily needs for Gavin, Alexis, and Maverick during this difficult time. Every donation and share means the world.
